About Us
The Food Allergy Immunotherapy Centre has been formed by three Professors with between them, over 60 years of experience of practicing at the highest level of paediatric allergy.
The driver for this new development was the licensing of PALFORZIA in 2020, both by American and European medicine regulators. This marked the formal approval of desensitisation as a treatment for peanut allergy, finally meaning that patients could do more to protect themselves than simply avoiding peanut. Despite rigorous clinical trial data, these treatments are still in their early days outside of the research setting and we wanted to ensure that patients had access to them in the safest possible way. For this reason we have decided to partner with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, who have unrivalled facilities for the safe administration of PALFORZIA and other allergen administration, right in the centre of London.

The Food Allergy Immunotherapy Centre aims to provide patient centred and responsive care, backed up by the highest safety standards and supported by the most experienced clinicians.
Desensitisation for food is not a cure, nor is it for everybody, but if it is right for you and your family, then we aim to make the journey through it as safe and well supported as possible. We offer a highly responsive admin team to try and minimise the impact of regular visits on day to day life as well as a Professorial led helpline, to answer any queries before the next dose of treatment is required.
Professors Gideon Lack, Adam Fox and George du Toit are internationally recognised as leaders in the field of Paediatric Allergy and have worked closely together since they set up what is now the largest specialist allergy service in the UK at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital. They are renowned both for their research achievements and clinical excellence.
